ER4043 ( AlSi5) is an aluminum-silicon alloy and a general-purpose type aluminum filler metal. The additions of silicon result in improved fluidity to make the alloy a preferred choice by welders. This alloy is less sensitive to weld cracking and produces brighter and almost smut-free welds.
